Adrien Anderson

Adrien is a third-year J.D./M.B.A. candidate at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and Daniels College of Business.  She is a Colorado native and attended the University of Colorado Boulder where she received her Bachelors of Arts in International Affairs.  Prior to attending law school, Adrien was an 8th grade English Language Arts and Reading teacher at KIPP: TRUTH Academy in Dallas, Texas. 

Adrien is currently pursuing a Corporate and Commercial Law Certificate and has specific interests in securities and corporate compliance. During the 2014-2015 academic year, Adrien served as a student attorney in the Community Economic Development transactional Clinic. Adrien’s previous legal internship experience include Wells, Anderson & Race, a Denver based insurance defense litigation firm, Fortis Law Partners, a Denver based corporate and employment law firm, and MarkWest Energy Partners, a natural gas gathering, processing, and transportation company.

In addition to contributing to The Race to the Bottom, Adrien is a member of the Black Law Students Association, the Tribal Wills Project, and the Business Law Society. Outside of law school, Adrien works in the community with Teach for America Colorado as a steering committee member.  Adrien also serves as a mentor on Judge Arguello's Law School Sí Se Puede Dream Team.
