Jessica Borchers is a third-year law student at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and the Editor in Chief of the Race to the Bottom. She earned her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Colorado State University.
During the summer of 2012, Jessica was a Legal Analyst Fellow with the Colorado Secretary of State’s Business and Licensing Division, and worked with in-house counsel at IntelePeer, a leading provider of on-demand cloud-based communications services. During the summer of 2013, Jessica served as a Law Clerk for the United States Attorney’s Office in their Denver location, and is working there part time into the fall of 2013. Her primary legal interests include commercial, contract, bankruptcy, and transactional law and alternative dispute resolution.
Jessica’s other academic involvement includes serving as Business Editor for the Denver University Law Review, a Research Assistant for Professor Michael Sousa, and President of the ADR Society. Jessica also had the opportunity to work as a student mediator in DU’s Mediation Clinic during the spring of 2013.
Aside from law school, Jessica enjoys many of Colorado’s outdoor activities, including road biking, hiking fourteeners, and skiing.
