Julian Ellis

 

Julian Ellis is a second year law student at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. Julian moved to Colorado from Georgia where earned his undergraduate degree in Finance and an M.B.A. from Valdosta State University. 

Prior to attending law school, Julian worked as a senior analyst with Wells Fargo's Corporate Banking Group. His legal interests include bankruptcy, banking and financial regulation, securities, and commercial litigation. During the summer of 2012, Julian was a Summer Associate at Rothgerber, Johnson & Lyons. In the spring of 2013, he will serve as an extern to the Honorable Sidney B. Brooks in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado. 

In addition to contributing to The Race to the Bottom, Julian’s other academic involvements include serving as a Staff Editor for the Denver University Law Review, a Research Assistant for Professor Justin Marceau, and a Teacher’s Assistant for a first-year Civil Procedure class.

Outside of law school, Julian enjoys spending time with his wife (Joye) and his three Boykin Spaniels (Mollie, Drake, and Dakota), playing golf, skiing, and learning to play the piano.
