Julian Ellis is a third-year law student at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. Julian moved to Colorado from Georgia where he earned his undergraduate degree in Finance and an M.B.A. from Valdosta State University.
Prior to attending law school, Julian worked as a senior analyst with Wells Fargo’s Corporate Banking Group. His legal interests include corporate bankruptcy, banking and financial regulation, securities, and commercial litigation. During the summer of 2013, Julian returned to Rothgerber, Johnson & Lyons as a Summer Associate. Julian has also served as an extern to the Honorable Sidney B. Brooks in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado.
In addition to contributing to The Race to the Bottom, Julian’s other academic involvements include serving as an Articles Editor for the Denver University Law Review, a Research Assistant for Professors Justin Marceau and Michael Sousa, and an Academic Achievement Program Leader for a first-year Civil Procedure class.
Outside of law school, Julian enjoys spending time with his wife (Joye) and his three Boykin Spaniels (Mollie, Drake, and Dakota), playing golf, skiing, and learning to play the piano.
