Kirstyn Jacobs

Kirstyn is currently a third-year law student at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Her family eventually settled in Colorado after living throughout the U.S. and Europe due to her father’s military service. She remained in Colorado and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs with Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Philosophy and minors in German Language, Pre-Law, and Leadership Communication. 

Prior to attending law school, Kirstyn worked for non-profit organizations. Kirstyn’s previous legal internship experience include working for the in-house legal department of The IMA Financial Group, Inc., an insurance brokerage firm, and working as a summer associate in the Denver office of Faegre Baker Daniels, a full service law firm headquartered in Minneapolis. Kirstyn’s legal interests include mergers and acquisitions and corporate compliance, and she is pursuing a certificate in the Corporate and Commercial Law Program. In addition to The Race to the Bottom, Kirstyn also works as a research assistant for two professors at DU Law. 

Outside of law school, Kirstyn enjoys taking advantage of the great outdoors of Colorado by hiking and skiing. Additionally, she is an avid cook, shuffleboard enthusiast, and Notre Dame and Steelers football fan.
