Michael Silverman

Michael is a third year law student at the DU Sturm College of Law and the Editor-in-Chief of Race to the Bottom as well as Co-President of the Corporate Governance Society. He is from Carmel, California and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Southern California in 2009.

Michael is interested corporate and securities law – particularly as it relates to entrepreneurship, early stage financing, and exempt securities offerings.  Outside of his legal and business interests, Michael is also passionate about and competes in Crossfit and Olympic Lifting.

In the past, Michael has interned at a number of companies, including LRN Corp. – a corporation teaching and inspiring global ethics and compliance for the Fortune 1000; Bodega Latina Corp. – operator of “El Super,” one of the fastest growing Hispanic grocery chains in the nation; and CommsFirst Inc., which assists organizations recover communications quickly in the face of disruptions and provides assured and interoperable communications in austere environments. Michael has also started and is currently working on business ventures of his own.
