Scott James
Scott received his undergraduate degree in Business Management and Organizations from The University of Iowa. He also studied Spanish and International Business while at Iowa. During the summer of 2006 he interned for Roomates Sevilla, a small property rental company in Sevilla, Spain. Scott is a 3L at the Sturm College of Law and a Co-Managing Editor for the Race to the Bottom.
Recently, Scott worked closely with James Lyons of Rothgerber Johnson & Lyons, researching issues for Mr. Lyons’ article titled Representing Independent Directors after Sarbanes-Oxley.
Scott interned at MVG Development during the spring semester of his second year, working on transactional and litigation based commercial lease issues. Following his second year, Scott served as a law clerk at Dyer & Berens, assisting with matters relating to securities class action lawsuits.
During the fall 2009 semester, he interned with the Division of Enforcement at the Denver Regional Office of the Securities & Exchange Commission. Currently, Scott is serving as a mediator for the Mediation and Arbitration Clinic division of the Student Law Office at DU.
In addition he is a student member of the Doyle Inn of Court.

Commercial litigation, alternative dispute resolution, securities litigation, corporate law, and regulatory defense.
