Stoneridge Redux (Part 1)

Today, I will be part of a panel at the Rock Center for Corporate Governance at Stanford Law School.  Details on the conference can be found here. The panel will be moderated by Joe Grundfest, a professor at Stanford and a former Commissioner on the Securities and Exchange Commission.  In preparation, I have been mulling over the implications of Stoneridge and over the next several days will discuss aspects of the case.  We will also take a look at what is happening in some of the other cases raising this issue, particularly the latest in the Enron case.
