Tara Hawkes

Tara is a second-year law student in the Corporate and Commercial Law Certificate Program. She is a Colorado native and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with minors in Biology and Chemistry at the University of Denver.

After receiving her Bachelor’s degree, Tara worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator for hip and shoulder surgeons at a private orthopaedeic practice. During her time as a clinical researcher, Tara published articles on biological shoulder replacements and hip arthroscopies. 

Tara pursued law school with the intention of combining her medical and legal interest. Her legal interest includes corporate, patent and health law and she hopes to work in-house with medical companies. Tara has gained experience working in private firms and working as a corporate apprentice at Paladina Health.  

Outside of law school, Tara enjoys rock climbing, biking, snowboarding, running and checking out Denver’s top eateries.
