Alex is a second-year J.D. candidate in the weekend program at University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Alex hails from Ohio and graduated from Case Western Reserve University with an accounting degree. When not commuting from Durango, Alex works full time as a Compliance and Contracts Manager for an employee-owned, global manufacturer, StoneAge, Inc. Alex is a licensed CPA and previously served as the Controller for StoneAge, and in the role grew the accounting team, expanded into international entities, and executed multiple acquisitions. Alex’s previous work experience also includes auditing for a nationally recognized accounting firm, RSM US LLP, and SEC reporting and financial accounting roles at publicly traded retailer Abercrombie & Fitch.

Alex believes in fostering better conversations in our communities. As such, Alex founded StoneAge’s, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Group, and currently serves as a member. Alex also actively volunteers for the non-partisan League of Women Voters of La Plata County. Outside of school, Alex enjoys backpacking, baking, hiking with their dog, making pasta, snowshoeing, and traveling.
