Emily is a second-year J.D. student at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law pursuing a corporate certificate. Emily is originally from Fairbanks, Alaska, and attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Political Science.

Emily is also a staff editor on the Denver Law Review and is involved with the Native American Law Student Association. Before law school, Emily worked on the legal team at an asset management firm where she developed an interest in corporate law. Outside of law school, Emily performs improv comedy and spends time with her dogs, Arlo and Murphy.

SEC Letter to China-Based Issuers Reflects America’s “Rule” of Isolationist Policies

The Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) released a vindicatory letter to China-based issuers demanding increased disclosures and financial reporting requirements. Regulatory Gap Provides Opportunity for Crypto Fraud

Stefan Qin could face more than seven years in prison for fraudulently operating his hedge fund which allegedly derived profits from price gaps between cryptocurrencies on global exchanges.
