John is a second-year law school student at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. As a Colorado native, John loves the outdoors, including skiing and fishing. Before coming to law school, John completed his undergraduate studies at Iowa State University, earning two degrees in Data Analysis and Management Information Systems. He remains an avid Cyclone supporter of their football and basketball programs.

John is currently pursuing a Corporate and Commercial Law Certificate with an interest in consumer data privacy. He is interested in emerging tech, big data, and cybersecurity. 

In addition to being a Student Contributor with The Race to the Bottom, John is a staff editor for the Denver Law Review. John currently works within the appeals division of Colorado's First Judicial District Attorney's Office. 

Outside of school, John enjoys being a mediocre golfer, spending time with family, and cheering on the Colorado Avalanche.
