Kayla Trafford is a third-year JD student at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. She is originally from Phoenix, Arizona, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Arizona. Kayla earned a Bachelor of Arts in Law with a minor in Business Administration. During her undergraduate, she participated in the first-ever undergraduate legal clinic which solidified her passion to attend law school and become a lawyer.

Kayla is interested in pursuing a career in corporate law. Currently, she is a member of the Community Economic Development Clinic at the Sturm College of Law which is a transactional law clinic that provides free legal services to small businesses and nonprofit organizations in the Denver community. During law school, Kayla has also participated in trial advocacy and was a finalist in the 1L Crosstown Mock Trial Competition.

Outside of law school, Kayla enjoys hiking, backpacking, camping, skiing, and taking her German Shepherd named Ozzy to the lake to do his favorite activity - collect rocks!
